About Me

Alexis Perrier

Striving to promote Prediction Markets as management tools I wish to join a company with whom I can build and develop a sound business strategy for Prediction Markets in France and in Europe.

After an education as an engineer in signal processing at Ecole Nat. Supérieur des Télécommunications - one of the top 5 French engineering School - in 2002, followed by a Phd on stochastic processes in 1995, I joined Altran a large French (now European) engineering consulting company as a consultant. After several missions as a project manager in network integration, I was promoted to manager in 1998. I developed the client portfolio, telcos and equipment companies, of a telecom business unit.

I started working with the Internet in 2000 by creating my own company, AP Production. Most of the time, a one-man company with a network of independent contributors. From classic to dynamic web sites, simple blogs to complex web-based database systems, I have conceived, developed and maintained approximately 50 websites and extranets for small companies, associations and private persons in sectors such as executive interim, marketing, children, licensing, retailing, online media, sociology and environmental lobbying.

During all these years, I thrived working on every aspects of web application creation: design, usability, search engine optimisation, database and software development and more important helping my clients develop their business and understanding their organisations. The learning never stopped.

I have been working on predictions markets ever since I met Jesper Krogstrup from Nosco - a danish Prediction Market company - during a conference in June of 2007. Prediction markets present a unique mix of internet applications, stochastic theory, financial background and news related implications that I find truly fascinating.

I have since re-oriented my activities to deal exclusively with the promotion of Prediction Markets as decision making and forecasting tools for companies and institutions.

I am now working among other things on the Allaxi Project, a multi-lingual European Prediction Market platform for a general audience.
