Long tail, food, fruits and CCTV
February 26, 2008 – 11:55 amIt’s one of these mornings where ideas keep popping up in my head.
As a reminder, here are three ideas I had this morning
- There is no longtail for food.
Where is the amazon for the food sector ? My local super market has a lot of versions of basically the same (overprocessed, junk like, unhealthy, too salty, to sugary, heavily misleading) food built upon strong marketing campaign.
- It’s impossible to get decent snack food instead of the chemical products (mars, lyon, haribo) out of the vending machine. Let’s get organized and manage our own fruit (you know apples, tangerines, bananas) basket in the E-comm department
- Let’s start waiving or making funny faces at CCTV. Everywhere we have electronic eyes watching over us. Behind these cameras are humans (remember them ?). What about, just once in a while, waiving at them or making funny faces. Not aggressively, just as a joke. Side effect is that we will be more aware of these sneaky big-brother eyes. Other side effect is to send good vibrations to people with what must be a very boring job
